Ansley Park
This 230-acre residential district was developed in 1904. Ansley Park has been one of Atlanta's premier upscale communities. Located just north and east of Midtown, the area began as Atlanta's first automobile-oriented community. It is still suffering from this design, as its extraordinarily wide streets have made this a favorite cut-through for motorists speeding east and west through the city.
The area is best known for its architectural styles, and the homes here are beautifully built and maintained. They are highly sought-after. Many of those homes were once owned by Atlanta’s colorful historic figures. It located across from piedmont park and Atlanta botanical gardens.
It is still suffering from this design, as its extraordinarily wide streets have made this a favorite cut-through for motorists speeding east and west through the city. Fortunately for the neighborhood, the residents of Ansley Park have plenty of political clout. The result of this power is that if you ignore the signs on the entrances to Ansley Park that forbid vehicles' entering it during rush hour, you will get a moving violation on your driving record and a fine of $50!
Developer Edwin Ansley patterned the neighborhood after Druid Hills. Today, Ansley Park is a National Historic District.
William Bremen Jewish Heritage Museum is a must to watch in this place.
Nan Thai is the nearest and one of the best restaurants here.
Ashely Inn is the best hotel around Ansley Park.
